I found the book "Open Sesame" to be the most thorough yet to the point book regarding the self ACCESS subject I've ever read. Tony Robbins falls way short compared to this author. 

The step-by-step process of learning in this book goes way beyond self-help. This book helped me take into account more than just the physical effort of achieving success. Carpenter's approach to training your mind and spirit along with the physical output was very encouraging to me. I now have a way to not just have faith but have learned how to have faith and put this faith in my mind, myself and my God to achieve all I wish. I've came to realize while reading this book everyone works hard but few achieve true success. Now I know why. Everyone can work hard but few know the lessons of this book and learn how to work smart. The lesson of this book really opened my eye at a time is was desperately needed.

I found this book to be very helpful on several different levels. It made me focus on me and my own personal growth instead of "busy-ness". There is never a right time or a good time to be introspective with the craziness of balancing work and home. This book leads you through the process of identifying (or reclaiming) goals, values and core talents to move you forward in career and even at home. I do really think that the right time to take this introspective journey is during the busy and hectic times.. We really all should take that time to invest in ourselves.

One exercise that I found interesting and powerful was to write my own Personal Value Statement after going through the Open Sesame process. This is like the professional statement that would be placed at the top of your resume. Because of going through this process, my Personal Value Statement is strong, effective and powerful. In fact, several people have noticed the change on my resume and Linkedin profile and commented on its effectiveness.
